Conventional Fire Panels

A complete range of conventional fire alarm panels from leading manufacturers, such as C-TEC, Kentec, HAES, Fireline, and Gent

A conventional fire alarm panel, commonly known as a 'Four Wire System,' has separate radial circuits (zones) for detection and sounders. They are probably the most commonly found in smaller properties both domestic and commercial, such as shops and restaurants. The actual capital cost of the components tends to be less, although the actual installation cost in time and materials can be higher because of additional cabling and fittings.

They are installed by dividing a building into a number of logical detection zones, with the detectors and call points within each zone hardwired on dedicated circuits to the control panel. Each zone can contain a number detectors or call points connected together on a fire proof cable. Each alarm sounder or bell needed is also wired on a specific sounder circuit.

If a detector is activated, the control panel identifies the circuit that contains the triggered device and so indicates the zone from which the fire alarm has originated, but the area then has to be manually searched to pinpoint the individual device.
