The Hochiki YBN R/3 SCI is a common addressable mounting base the ESP range of smoke, heat and multi-criteria detectors and includes and integral short circuit isolator.
The purpose of the SCI is to detect short circuits in a loop on power up and allow the rest of the loop to continue operation normally.
