Standalone Fire Alarm/Alert Systems

Standalone fire alarms are generally intended for use where they do not require an external power source. They are therefore mainly battery operated, either from standard batteries or specific battery packs. They are also independent of the need for a control panel, although some of the more sophisticated units do have them available.

They are ideal for temporary structures, such as marquees, and small offices, as well as work yards or building sites, where the requirements of the fire alarm system may fluctuate. There are many reasons for recquiring a standalone fire alarm, these range from using a temporary structure to wanting to give personnel using a fire alarm exempt site a trusted method of raising an alarm.
