Conventional Fire Alarm Call Points

Conventional manual call points are typically installed at various fire escape route locations throughout a premises. There are rukles concerning their installation and follows the regulation set out in BS5839.

They must also be sufficient in number to ensure that the time between the discovery of a fire and the alarm being sounded is as short as possible. Manual call points should be fixed at a height of 1.4m above finished floor level, at easily accessible, well-illuminated and conspicuous positions free from potential obstruction.
