Conventional Fire Alarm Call Points
Conventional manual call points are typically installed at various fire escape route locations throughout a premises. There are rukles concerning their installation and follows the regulation set out in BS5839.
They must also be sufficient in number to ensure that the time between the discovery of a fire and the alarm being sounded is as short as possible. Manual call points should be fixed at a height of 1.4m above finished floor level, at easily accessible, well-illuminated and conspicuous positions free from potential obstruction.
Featuring bright red housing for ease of identification, the manual call point allows for occupants to manually activate the fire alarm system in the event of an emergency
