Recessed ceiling fans are widely used in both domestic and commercial buildings. Ceilings are subject to fire regulations and must be fire protected in accordance with Approved Document B.

Once a hole is made in the ceiling for a fan, the integrity of the construction and its ability to perform in a fire is reduced significantly. The hole must be fire stopped in order to reinstate the original fire rating of the ceiling.

The FF107 Ceiling Fan Fire Stop has been developed to provide protection for holes created by 100mm and 125mm ceiling fans. In a fire situation, the intumescent aspect of the product expands to create an effective fire barrier and therefore reinstate the fire rating of the ceiling. The FF107 Ceiling Fan Fire Stop is quick and easy to install.
